Where this policy applies: This Privacy Policy applies to Groupalike website, microsites, apps, events, and other services operated by Perform Digital private limited for simplicity, we refer to all of these as our “services” in this Privacy Policy. To make it simple, we have added links to this Privacy Policy on all applicable services. 

Who we are: Apps on Google Play & App Store are under the name “Groupalike”. The company that is responsible for your information under this Privacy Policy (the “data controller”) is: “Perform Digital Private Limited, 437/535, a. s. h. s., meerapur, allahabad, up – 211003 in” the site address is https://groupalike.com, web app address is https://groupalike.social 

No Ad Policy: Unlike other services, we don’t use user data for ad targeting. Groupalike only stores the information it needs to function as a secure and feature-rich group interaction platform. User data may be used to personalize nearby offers and for the positioning of the nearby businesses.  

Information collection and usage: We, across our services, may collect data related to Browser information, device or viewport resolution, an app running or idle in the foreground and/or background, and device information including IP address, crash reports, system activity, and the date, time, and referrer URL of your request can also be stored and used for analytics or advertising purposes. 

First-Party Data Storage & Collection: 

  1. HerokuWe use Heroku (airmatch.herokuapp.com) for user data processing, storage & caching purposes. 
  2. Amazon Web Services (commonly referred to as AWS): We use AWS for storage, distribution, caching & for communication such as Email service.

Third-Party Applications:  

We might also collect other information such as game activity, searches, views, and interaction with banners, offers and event locations, voice and audio info, purchase activity, people with who you share content, and communicate.  

  1. Google Analytics, Google Optimize & Google Tag ManagerThird-party apps such as google analytics or google tag manager may also collect and store data about your behaviour and activity including time spent on the app. This data may be used to personalize your experience at our platform. 
  2. Third-party social media and advertising networks: They usually act as separate controllers, so that we can advertise on their platforms; Social Media platforms such as Instagram & YouTube may also be linked on our platforms for social visibility & presence. 
  3. Google FirebaseWe use Firebase for user authentication, analytics, crash reporting, and other services. 
  4. Google Maps: We use google maps API to show nearby users & nearby businesses as an in-app functionality.  
  5. Third-party app libraries: Some of the in-app features are powered by using third-party code libraries which may collect usage data (such as google fonts & google reCAPTCHA). We also use android and iOS app-specific libraries such as RxAndroid, retrofit, okhttp, Dexter, Picasso, compressor, glide, socket.io, zoomage, shimmer, Lottie, stetho etc

We may share personal information outside of Groupalike if we have a strong reason or it is reasonably necessary such as for applicable law, legal process, or enforceable government request. To prevent any fraud or any criminal investigation, we may also share non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners such as top searches, group trends, how to increase your points, top stars holders, etc. with publishers, advertisers, developers, or rights holders. If Groupalike is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we’ll continue to ensure the confidentiality of your personal information and give affected users notice before personal information is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.  

We collect information about you when you: 

  • Create an account.  
  • Use the Platform (including Groupalike website, Groupalike Social platform (Groupalike social), Groupalike android iOS App). 
  • Attend an event. 
  • Access in-app activities. 
  • Visit our website.  
  • and Communicate with us. 

We also collect information, such as usage statistics, by using cookies, server logs, and similar technologies. If you elect to use certain features, we also collect information through other sources, such as social media services, invitations, and imported contacts. We use information about you to operate, improve, promote, and protect Groupalike and our Platform, we also may use your information to communicate with you and personalize content. We may disclose personal information about you, depending on how you engage with Groupalike. Information that is public on our platform is accessible to others both on and off the Platform. 

We may also disclose information about you to  

  • to our third-party service providers who help us to operate or improve our Platform; 
  • to authorities to comply with legal obligations and to protect and defend our rights and property; and 
  • to an affiliate or successor entity as part of a corporate transaction 
  • among our businesses and affiliated companies; and 
  • when you direct us to share your information. 

We may also share information in a manner that does not identify you, such as de-identified or aggregated information. Such information is not subject to this Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share information about you except as described in this Privacy Policy. We may allow others to use technologies that collect information about you to provide analytic services and to serve ads for Groupalike. You may be able to disable the collection or use of this information. We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. We cannot guarantee these controls will provide absolute security.

Cookies and data collection: We use and may allow third parties to use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels) to recognize you and/or your device(s). You may read our cookie policy for more information on why we use them (such as authenticating you, remembering your preferences and settings, analyzing site traffic and trends, delivering and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, and more) and how you can better control their use, through your browser settings and other tools. Your Rights: You can always ask for the deletion or update of your personal information and we will take every step to ensure your privacy gets our priority, we’ll also comply under applicable laws. To delete your personally identifiable information, you can also contact our privacy department to request to delete all identifiable information about you. 

Children’s Privacy: These Services do not address anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions. 

Changes to This Privacy Policy: We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

Log Data: We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
